各位太古城的城友您好！我是趙家賢，於初中時已居於太古城。三十年來，太古城於市民的心目中，是港島東的第一屋苑。作為居住於太古城的一份子，我熱愛這個社區，也為這個中產社區的公民意識及居民素質感到自豪。區內各類形的設施式式俱備，發展完善，但其實當中隱藏了很多社區問題需要跟進及處理。太古地產分別在益新工業大廈及栢嘉商業大廈舊址發展甲級寫字樓及四星級酒店，定必為太古城帶來大量人流及車流，城內的社區及交通配套設施的負擔亦勢必加重。為此，作為太古城的業主代表，我會不時聆聽居民的意見，以務實、有效的方法向政府，管理公司及有關機構反映居民的心聲，以一個社區促進者(community facilitator)的角色，盡一點綿力為社區、為各位服務。
太古城的居住環境多年來都保持於相當高的水平，是有賴全城居民通力合作、愛護環境所至。我希望能夠與各位同心攜手，為太古城的社區發展而努力！

We are Taokoo Shing residents. Please follow up on one issue.
There are restaurants in the City Plaza and also on Tai Mou Avenue.
The smoke from these restaurants make the air environment very bad, in particular in areas near junction Taikoo Wan Road/Tai Mou Avenue. The smoke came from the Thai restaurants on TaiMou Avenue and other restaurants in the City Plaza. The situation is worse at around 1pm. You could see the clouds of white smoke oustide the Thai restaurant and also from the ventilation pannel above the Construction Bank. Please visit the spot at about 1pm and spend about 30 minutes there. I think you could not bear with the smoke and the odour from the smoke. I have reported the case to TaiKoo management. They could only deal with it on piece meal basis. Please help follow up wth TaiKoo Management and get a permanent solution this air pollution problem. This hazardous to the passerbys and residents in the area.
** please note simialr problem near junction Tai Mou Avenue/Taokoo Shing Road. The smoke came from the ventilation panel above Standard Chartered Bank.
